This
section is designed to give potential Coldstreamers a good
understanding about how to go about joining the Regiment,
what to expect during training and a basic understanding of
the terms and conditions of service, including details of
pay.
We
are one of the best recruited Regiments in the British Army.
Nonetheless, we are always interested in interviewing
suitable applicants and if you have the qualities we want
then we will offer you a place.

THE CHALLENGE. . . . .
We
have vacancies now for single and married men aged between
16 and 26. You will be trained fully to meet the
requirements of life as a modern soldier. We can offer you a
wide variety of career options that are described in Career
and Promotion Opportunities. You will also be offered the
chance to gain civilian recognised NVQs in many skill areas.

RECRUIT FROM . . . . ?
We
recruit guardsmen from a wide variety of areas from
Newcastle right down to Redruth in Cornwall. Our main
recruiting areas are the North East, Yorkshire, the South
West, as well as Leicester, London, and Sussex. All of our Armed Forces Career Offices (AFCOs) have permanent Coldstream Guards Staff:

HOW TO APPLY. . . . .
If
you want to become a Coldstream Guardsman, your first step
is to get in touch with a Coldstream Guards Recruiter. We
can offer you various programmes designed to show you what
life is like in the Coldstream Guards with no obligation for
you to join. We will also send you an information pack
telling you more about a career in the Regiment.
If you are interested in serving across the globe with one
the most famous infantry Regiments, the Coldstream
Guards; who have an unrivalled and distinguished history,
then get in touch with us.
The training is different for prospective Guardsmen and
Officers, but all Coldstreamers will arrive in the Regiment
physically and mentally prepared to fulfil the role that is
demanded of them.
That role could be fighting in Afghanistan, peace keeping in
Iraq or carrying out ceremonial duties in London. Combined
with excellent training, sport, adventure training and
travel, the Regiment is at the forefront of the modern
Infantry.
