*NEW - JUNE 04 - UPDATE - Information

June came upon Planet Coldstream and whizzed straight back up Queen's Avenue - before we knew it we were in July.  Below is a little of what's been happening.


HANDOVERS
a. Handover in Key Posts within the Battalion have taken place'
                   RQMS - WOII Carr handed over to WOII Sprot (WOII Carr has taken post as the RQMS RHQ)
                   TQMS - WOII Wilson has handed over to WOII James (WOII Wilson has taken over as RSM D Ward at Frimley Hospital ! only kidding )
                   DSGT - WOII Sprot has handed over to WOII James who handed over to WOII Baker (confused yet!)
                   CSM 2 COY - WOII Hannan has handed over to WOII Sheard
                   CQMS 2 COY - CSGT Sheard has handed over to CSGT Walton who will hand over to (wait out).
                   SIG CSGT - CSGT Cooper has handed over to CSGT Addenbrooke.



JAMAICA
b. 3 Company have returned back to the windy city following their exercise in Jamaica, pictures are promised to be on the site shortly.



SERGEANTS MESS - Regimental Dinner
c. The Sergeants Mess said a fond farewell to WOII and Mrs W Wilson in the form of a glorious Regimental Dinner, an excellent evening that led into the early hours.  A few images from this evening can be found on the picture board



RCDS COLLEGE DEMO DAY
d. The Battalion took part in the Royal College Defence Studies Day at Warminster recently.  This is an event that is viewed by a minimum rank of Brigadier from all over the world to see the tactics and demonstrations of the British Army.  Images were taken on the Chief of Defence Staff's Rehearsal and can be found here.



BATTALION EXERCISE - THETFORD
e. The Battalion have just returned from a major exercise in Thiet-Nam (Thetford), it should be noted that most of the Battalion deployed on the Sunday after the Regimental Dinner (see above) - there wasn't a sore head to be seen by anyone!

ALL ARMS PACE STICKING CHAMPIONSHIP
f. After having a day to prepare for the competition (members were on the Bn FTX 24 hours previous) a team left for Sandhurst to compete in the competition.  Although the Battalion did not win (only the 1st and 2nd places are announced), it should be noted that they were "towards the top" of the list.  Once again proving the Regiment can adapt to any given situation thrown at them "Second to None"





NEW - MAY - 04 - UPDATE information


MAY UPDATE


May has been a very busy month for the Battalion, below is just a little of what has been going on;


HANDOVERS
a. Handover's in key posts within the Battalion have taken place,
                   SECOND IN COMMAND - Maj Short has handed over to Maj Tower
                   QUARTERMASTER - Maj McCormack has handed over to Capt Howick ........ (Maj McCormack is now the Company Commander HQ Coy)
                   TECH QUARTERMASTER
- Capt Howick has handed over to Capt Hall
                   MTO - Capt Hall has handed over to Capt Jasinski
                   RCMO - Capt Jasinski has handed over to Capt Overton
                   FAMILIES OFFICER - Capt Overton handed over to Capt Beattie

JAMAICA
b. Number Three Company have left for Sunny Jamaica, in exchange the Battalion have a Company Of the Jamaican Defence Force.


DERBY DAY
c. Members of the Battalion have been busy beavering away in the organisation of The Household Division Enclosure at Derby Day 04, an event that was "Second to None", for images and information of the day click here


No 7 COMPANY
d. No 7 Coy are busy beavering away in the preparation of The Queens Birthday Parade 2004 - with thanks to the Northumbria ACF for the image (see images from the Northumbria ACF and No 7 Company on the picture board.


REGIMENTAL TRUSTEE'S VISIT
e. The Battalion recently had a visit from The Regimental Trustees, many of which were Commanding Officers of this fine Regiment.  For a few images of this day click here.


FAREWELL TO MAJ MACKEAN
f. Headquarter Company bid farewell to Maj SCR Mackean, the image shown on the picture board  shows the CSM presenting him his gift.
