An Environmental Day
Today, the Environmental Platoon took off their Combat 95,
and donned their "Charlie Dimmock" costumes!
About 200 metres from camp is a pond that is currently in a bad state of
repair. The MT Platoon (with help from a few men from the Companies)
took the day off from their busy schedules to turn this location into a
hazard free zone. This was a feat in itself, considering the pond was
once home to many ducks and wildlife, but the MT Warrant Officer (WOII
"Decker" Donaghy) and his band of merry men did an outstanding job.
Well Done to everyone involved in this project.
For images of this day see the
The MT Platoon.

If there is anyone who is interested in cheap beer, loud music and scoff
please contact Rosco or Stubby in the Battalion Tailors Shop (or

We are looking for around about £45 per head for beer for the whole

on draft! (as you can appreciate kegs aren't cheap!).
Money will be needed "up front" before the weekend commences, so
interested parties should get in touch asap

Joseph Newman becomes an Octogenarian this Summer and his family
is looking for people who remember him from his time as a Sergeant in
the

If you were in the 1st Battalion during WWII and remember him,
then please get in touch. He was among the first tanks into Arras in
